Call for Applications for Student mobility for studies (1st, 2nd cycle) at the University of Foggia in the framework of MUSA (Mobilità Universitaria Sport e Alimentazione) and MOBIS (Mobilità Incoming Studio) Projects, funded by the Apulia Region (Transnational Mobility Actions of the Universities in the Apulia Region).

Art. 1 Mobility types

Under this call for applications the following candidates from Odessa I.I. Mechnikov National University are eligible to apply:

  1. UNDERGRADUATE (1st cycle) of 2nd and 3rd year of study
  2. MASTER (2nd cycle) of first year of study, but only in case if their graduation date at ONU is in the end of February 2018 the earliest

The present call for applications provides mobility grants for 2017-2018 academic years (first semester).

Art. 2 Admission requirements

  1. In order to apply prospective candidates must be enrolled at ONU at the moment of application and for the whole duration of the mobility.
  2. Language proficiency . Applicants are required to be proficient in English at level B2 and/or Italian at level B1 of the CEFR respectively, and to provide certifications or self-certifications of the required level.

Art. 3 Activities

Mobility for studies:

MUSA/MOBIS grants for study are awarded for full time study activities, including thesis preparation, at first, second and third study cycles. The studies in which the beneficiaries are enrolled must be leading to a recognized degree or another recognized tertiary level qualification.

The mobility period may be integrated by a traineeship if included in the Learning Agreement. The traineeship must be implemented under the supervision of the host university which welcomes the student’s study period. Besides the study and traineeship period must be consecutive.

Art. 4 Grants

  1. Grantees will receive a grant as a contribution to their costs for travel and individual support during their mobility:
  • Monthly contribution for attending courses + Monthly contribution for the student’s stay = up to 1480,00 euro (accommodation, food expenses, and any costs relating to entry visas and residence permits for non-EU citizens, health insurance).
  • Travel cost reimbursement (one-off payment) = 592,00 euro upon presentation of the original travel tickets (round trip)
  1. Each student will pay his/her regular tuition and fees to the home institution. 

3 The mobility period must be carried out continuously and it must not be not be split into different periods.

Art. 5 Admission procedure

5.1 Application

  • A confirmation e-mail will be sent after the application has successfully been submitted;
  • The official language of the application is English. At the time of application diplomas, transcripts and other official documents may be submitted in original language but they must be accompanied by an English translation. You have to provide certified translations of all relevant documents.

5.2 Required Documentation

  1. Students must provide the following documents:
  • 1) Copy of a valid passport;
  • 2) Copy of a proof of registration at a Bachelor/Master programme at the ONU (e.g. certificate of enrollment);
  • 3) Copy of the transcript of records (with indication of university grades/marks);
  • 4) Copy of official language certifications (if any) or self-certifications of language qualifications;
  • 5) Proposed Learning Agreement in English, signed by the applicant, the study programme Coordinator and the Erasmus+ Academic Coordinator;
  • 6) Curriculum Vitae (max 2 pages) in English including extracurricular activities (courses, seminars, conferences, published research, etc.) and professional experience related to the fields of knowledge of the course;
  • 7) Motivation letter (max 2 pages) explaining the background of the candidate and the reasons for applying to the programme;
  • 8) Other documents (awards, honors, diplomas, certificates etc., if any)

Art. 6 Evaluation of candidates

Selection Committee will evaluate all the candidates according with the following criteria, which have been jointly agreed by the partner university and the coordinating university:

The final selection decision will consider also cross-cutting evaluation criteria such as gender balance, equal opportunities and participation of disadvantaged groups (disabled students, economically disadvantaged students) providing a more equal and fair selection process.

Information relating to individuals (personal data) is collected and used in accordance with Directive 95/46/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 24 October 1995 on "the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data".
